is looking for a Full Time LPN.

Full Time-Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide care for adult and pediatric patients at Hope Medical Clinic in Clinton. LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE: JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW

 

  • He/She participates in developing, executing and periodically reviewing the clinic’s written policies and procedures.
  • The L.P.N. is responsible for performing all laboratory tests. 
  • He/She will also be responsible for maintaining the lab area in a clean, orderly and safe manner. He/She will ensure lab trays and exam rooms are stocked appropriately for the following day.
  •  The L.P.N. will have experience in laboratory test performed by the clinic or will be trained by the professional staff at the clinic.
  • He/She will be responsible for ensuring clinic staff are OSHA trained and ensure the clinic is compliance with HIPPA and local and federal safety guidelines. 
  •  He/She will be responsible for direct patient care including but not limited to injections, lab draws, patient vitals and other nursing services delegated to and deemed within her scope of practice by the Nurse Practitioner and Physician.
  • He/She will notify Clinic Manager of supplies that are to be ordered as needed to prevent running out of necessary items needed in the day-to-day operation of the clinic.
  • He/She will return phone calls before the end of the business day.  If an answer cannot be given to the caller, they should be notified that a return call would be made as soon as information is available. 
  • Phone calls will be charted in the Electronic Medical Record.  Prescription refills must include the pharmacy called, medication, strength, number of doses, and number of refills including the name with title of who refilled the medication. He/she will follow the provider’s preferences regarding all refills requests. 
  • He/She will check expiration dates for all medical supplies monthly.
